Oracle Application Express
I have been trying to learn how to use Oracle Application Express, known as APEX.
“Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX) is a rapid web application development tool for the Oracle database. Using only a web browser and limited programming experience, you can develop and deploy professional applications that are both fast and secure.”
It’s pretty amazing what you can build using APEX with few clicks without writing even one line of code. I know I shouldn’t probably compare but I used to write endless lines of MySQL/PHP code to create applications that manipulates data (view, add, delete, update.. standard things you would do with your data) With APEX, you can build such application in a matter of few hours without having to write one line of code. How awesome is that!
One thing I wish Oracle would do better is — better documentation on how to use APEX! I find Oracle generally lacks in providing documentation for their product. It’s so hard to FIND where those documents are located to begin with and I usually find Oracle user guide documentation so not worth reading. Most of the time they are outdated as well!
May I simply just say what a relief to uncover somebody that really knows what they
are discussing on the net. You certainly understand how to bring a problem to light and make it
important. More and more people should look at this and understand this side of your
story. I was surprised that you are not more popular because you certainly possess the gift.
