giordano’s famous stuffed pizza, Chicago
I’ve tried Chicago’s famous Deep Dish Pizza at both Giordano’s and Ginos East of Chicago restaurants and I recommend Giordano’s pizza for its thin crust, perfectly seasoned tomato sauce, loaded meat (ordered MEAT & MORE MEAT pizza) and fresh mozzarella cheese. Surprisingly Super Veggie Pizza was very delicious too. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Chicago.

Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House, Chicago
Had a dinner with friends at Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House in Chicago last weekend. This restaurant has decent reviews on Trip Advisor, so I went there with a bit of high expectation that the food will be great. I must say that the restaurant indeed has a fun atmosphere, friendly and knowledgable servers (One thing that happened to us though – one of the server we had broke glass right on our table as they were putting it down – strange how that happened). However, I wouldn’t rate their food 5 stars…maybe 3 at the most. I’ve ordered one of their signature dish ‘Crab stuffed Lobster with Lemon butter’ and Lobster meat was tough as it was overcooked and very hard to take meat out of shell which made everything all messy to eat. Another their signature dish ‘Filet Mignon (USDA Gibsons Prime Angus Beef)’ was also overcooked, not as juicy & tasty as the steak we had the night before at GrandLux Cafe for 1/3 of the price. For dessert though, we ordered a creme brûlée and it was the biggest creme brûlée that I’ve ever seen. 8 of us were able to share generously and it was actually quite delicious – creamy and had the perfect level of sweetness. Will I return to this place if I visit Chicago again in the future? Probably not.

Citizens Kitchen & Bar, THEHotel, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas
Recently took a short trip to Vegas with friends. Before we watched MICHAEL JACKSON ONE, we had a quick bite at Citizens Kitchen & Bar, THEHotel. We didn’t have a reservation but was able to get the table almost right away which was perfect for us. ^^; Server was very knowledgeable about the menu and food was pretty good. Definitely enjoyed Reuben sandwich and chicken wings! Would go back for sure.

Kim Bap . Com Toronto (aka Roll.com)
I blogged about this fabulous Korean restaurant last week, here are couple more dishes I’ve tried. Both dishes definitely live upto my expectation. First dish below is called ‘Dduck-bbok-gi’. It’s made with rice cakes, instant noodle and fish cakes, stir fried with sweet and spicy Korean sauce called ‘Go-chu-jang’. They make this dish a fusion style by sprinkling Cheddar cheese on top. Super delish! Second dish is called Don-Kat-ssu (Pork Katsu), their homemade Katsu sauce is one of the most tasty sauce that I’ve ever tasted… really. Perfect combination of sweet and sour, with hint of apple and wasabi – highly recommend you to try.
