I wrote a little poem on my subway ride today. It’s about my attitude, my life and my rules!
Do your best,
Pursue your dream,
Have your voice,
Take care yourself,
Live with an open mind,
Do your best.
Its ok not to be on top, but
Its not ok to stop trying.
Pursue your dream.
Its ok to negotiate with the reality, but
Its not ok to just settle.
Have your voice.
Its ok to be quiet, but
Its not ok to stop expressing your thoughts and feelings.
Its ok to hide your weakness, but
Its not ok to mislead and blame your failure on others.
Take care yourself.
Its ok to sacrifice for others, but
Its not ok to lose and hurt yourself along the way.
Its ok to hibernate, but
Its not ok to ignore and hurt feelings of those around you.
Live with an open mind.
Its ok to be opinionated, but
Its not ok to stop listening and acknowledging differences.
Appreciate Now and Today,
Later and Tomorrow may never come.
On my subway ride to work, I sometimes think about how ideal “me” at work would behave. This morning, I decided to write my thoughts down as I was listening to new songs that I downloaded on my iPod. Here is my rule of thumb that I try following to become a better “me” at work. I think it would be awesome too if everyone at work try to follow these rules… Just a thought. ^^*;
Observe and listen,
Investigate and analyze,
Engage and document,
Ask and clarify.
Think logically and creatively,
Collaborate and formulate solutions that make sense,
Make decisions based on facts, but also
Believe in intuition and experiences.
Work with the team with confidence, patience and trust,
Give credit where credit is due,
Argue with constructive reasonings,
Look for improvements and opportunities,
…And ultimately be responsible, humble and honest.
Ashton Kutcher gave this inspiring speech about [3 secrets to keep your career going] at Teen Choice Awards recently. I can’t agree more!
- Being sexy
- Living life
“There is a big difference between giving up and letting go.
Giving up means selling yourself short. It means allowing fear and struggle to limit your opportunities and keep you stuck.
Letting go means freeing yourself from something that is no longer serving you. It means removing toxic people and belief systems from your life so that you can make room for relationships and ideas that are conducive to your wellbeing and happiness.
Went for hiking today at Cedar trail, Rouge Park and saw this log at the entrance to the park. Hope everyone had a great weekend, filled with love and laughter!
“Love. Fill this earth with life, love, respect and support.” Made in Canada, eh!
