I blogged about this fabulous Korean restaurant last week, here are couple more dishes I’ve tried. Both dishes definitely live upto my expectation. First dish below is called ‘Dduck-bbok-gi’. It’s made with rice cakes, instant noodle and fish cakes, stir fried with sweet and spicy Korean sauce called ‘Go-chu-jang’. They make this dish a fusion style by sprinkling Cheddar cheese on top. Super delish! Second dish is called Don-Kat-ssu (Pork Katsu), their homemade Katsu sauce is one of the most tasty sauce that I’ve ever tasted… really. Perfect combination of sweet and sour, with hint of apple and wasabi – highly recommend you to try.

Kim Bap . Com Toronto (aka Roll.com)
This restaurant is a hidden gem in North York, Toronto. It’s located at 5 Northtown Way, North York, Toronto. A small place with about 6 tables (nothing fancy) but you can certainly get delicious, authentic Korean food at a decent price. It’s one of those restaurants that Koreans will go to get Korean food! Their specialities are Korean rolls called ‘Kim-Bap’, definitely a must try dish if you haven’t tried them before. Dishes shown below are Tuna roll, Beef rib cabbage soup ‘Woo-Guh-Ji-Tang’ and Stir fried spicy pork dish called ‘Jae-Yook-Bok-Eum’. Delish!

City Kitchen Restaurant & Bar, Eaton Centre, Toronto
Tried this new restaurant at Eaton Centre, Toronto. (Website: http://www.dine.to/citykitchen) Same location where Eggspectation used to be. Ordered Fish & Chip and New York steak 6oz.

Both dishes were quite disappointing. Fish was ‘ok’ (not too thick batter and moist fish inside) but fries were soggy and undercooked. Steak meat was not a restaurant quality and quite tastless. Veges that came with steak was soaked in butter, made the dish quite greasy. Didn’t try any desserts, but not sure if I would like to go back to try more dishes…
Wednesday, Mussels night at The Symposium Cafe, Toronto
Tried Mussels in Spicy Garlic Sauce and Mussels Marinara tonight at The Symposium Cafe, Thornhill location, Toronto. Garlic Sauce one was spicy and a bit too salty for my taste. Really liked Mussels Marinara, they are on special every Wednesday for $9.95 CAD. If you like Mussels, definitely try this place. Had Crepe for desserts — not a warm, soft crepe I was hoping for… wouldn’t recommend it.
